All the wonderful wineries of the Yarra Valley are just on your doorstep from the Mountain. You can take a drive through one of the many scenic routes through the Yarra Valley. There will be the names that are familiar to you but it is also worth popping into the ones you haven’t heard of as you never know when you will come across that special bottle of something.
It’s a great day out to go for a drive through the Yarra Valley stopping in at some wineries that take your fancy along the way. We recommend going to the Yarra Valley Wine Growers Association website for descriptions and maps of the region and its wineries. You can also pick one up at Linden Gardens. We encourage responsible drinking of the great wines in the region so if you are partial to trying quite a few as you visit the wineries we recommend taking an organised tour.
If you really want to get a taste of the wines in the region we recommend organising a tour with Yarra Valley Winery Tours. Experienced hosts who are local to the region will pickup you up from Linden Gardens and take you to about 5 wineries of your choice and include a gourmet lunch at a winery. They will have suggested interaries or work with you to create the perfect tour for your taste in wine or available time.
If you want take a short scenic drive in the area and also experience a few wineries more locally to the Mountain we recommend downloading the itinerary of our suggested route. This is easily done in an afternoon whilst also visiting other attractions in the area like the Lavendar Farm and Mont De Lancey, still leaving plenty of time for a nice lunch. You can also pick up this itinerary and map at Linden Gardens and we can advise you on some good lunch stops.

Immerse of the Yarra Valley comes to Olinda bringing with it a fabulous Cellar Door wine tasting area. Now you don't need to go very far to get that winery experience. Drop in a try some of their wines, buy a glass (or a bottle) and sit in the courtyard out the back and enjoy the afternoon. With fabulous food as well, you can't go wrong.
If you would like to try some of the Yarra Valley wines in the comfort of your suite, there is a selection available at Linden Gardens. A list of wines will be in your suite available for purchase. Alternatively you can drop into Olinda Cellars in Olinda Village which has a fantastic range of boutique local and interstate wines. You can browse the selection and also get some great advice from the staff who really know their wine and enjoy talking about it.
